Part one..More to follow... The couples looked amazing on friday night . The Thornhill Cleege formal took place in the city Hotel. A great evening indeed. Do share with all your family and friends and leave a sweet comment on your class friends. I got a phone call from Vanessa's mum and was asked to discuss the plans she had arranged in booking her daughters wedding in a chateau she had privately booked for all families and guests for the 2 day wedding. Chateau Villermaux, Cotignac, S. France is tucked in the stunning hills not far from Nice . So again , my cameras packed and flew direct to Nice. I stayed in a charming Hotel in the village Cotignac right by the church where the couple were to get married. The same church Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got married. The air was so calm and warm. The day started in the chateau getting ready and then to the church. We walked through the village for some casual images the bridal group sat at a local cafe and shared some beer. All so casual and relaxed. We returned to the chateau with canopies and champagne such a different feel to a wedding al out doors even in the evening. They all danced the night away. A thrilling experience to be part of the day. Loved it. Andrea When you get a call to photograph a couples wedding I knew this couple had a passion to get married in France. The couple got engaged in a little French village , Nontron, Dordogne, A village I know so well. So I was pretty excited to be part of their wedding day. I know the wedding would be a reflection on the couple, their families and friends and mostly their love for France with good wine, good food and great outdoor weather. Perfect for a wedding. I hope this reflects through my images with the stunning countryside in France. Andrea Some times when you do not meet a couple face to face and when you meet them on a call by phone it is as if you know them. The couple both worked abroad and came home to Derry to get married. I knew what Ashlen wanted in her mind. She had seen my style of work and knew this is what she wanted straight away. No fuss no hassle. The bridal group kept the whole day alive and we jumped from a few locations and then to Harvey's Point. A very popular destination this year for my couples. I have shared a few images. It is always good to get some ideas if you are getting married next. Thanks for letting me be your photographer for the day. I really enjoyed the fun.... When Danielle had chosen me to be her photographer I was so delighted. We spend a considerable time into making her images all that she had dreamed off. When so much effort goes into your day from the invitation cards to the decoration on the table to the perfect venue for the reception and that all runs smoothly. We had a great bright day in September, the weather as it can can change so drastically and to my delight I captured one of my favorite images when the wind scooped Daniels veil so high at the church doors. The family invited me as one of their own and I felt so part of it all as well being the photographer. I make so many friends with my work. Who could ask for more. I could see that this couple were friends for life. Good friends make fantastic memories, but the best kind of friends are the ones with whom you have an unspoken agreement to laugh together for the rest of your life. They’re the first person you call when anything, literally anything at all, happens. Check out some images selected from their day. When you have checked out venues near you and you find you want that extra mile or away from it all. My special couple, Vanessa from Derry and Daniel from England took that extra step into looking for the heat , good wine and a perfect Venue not typical from the normal wedding Venues. I had photographed Vanessa and her family many years in my studio in Derry and I was so delighted when asked to be part of her day. Nice was the chosen reception and as a travelling wedding photographer and know the country lifestyle pretty well it could have not worked better. I spent a few days before her day in a rustic town near to her venue in Cottignac, Nice south of France. A small town in the church where Brad-Pitt and Angelina-Jolie married also. So a history to this little town indeed. They also own a muti- million pound chateaux near here making their own wine. I did not get a chance to visit there and taste the level of their wine.. maybe another day.. The setting was in chateaux villermaux, cottignac. A dutch couple and the chateaux was rented for the entire weekend for all the guests. All the guests arrived the night before, perfect champagne to suit the occasion on arrival and the luxury of the private pool and gardens made the whole event so private and intimate, it was as if a large family congregated . Everything was planned to the finest detail. the food, entertainment and the food settings was so picture perfect. On top of that the warm tropical cool temperature in the evening made you feel as if you did not want this evening to end. The following day all the guests were invited to a mid day french lunch where the past day was topic of discussion. Food for thought.. why not book abroad..I loved the setting the climate the food the wine and I was the photographer for their day. Thanks for letting me be part of your day. Andrea If you want to have the day so perfect you have to put so much work and effort into sections dedicated to the dress , fashion, beauty and your venue. Nicole and Barry indeed spent all that time indeed. A venue that has nearly ticks all the boxes. Location, whoo , its setting just by Ireland's most famous lakes, to those who love fishing and boats. You simply just need to peer from your window and there it is ! Interior wise as photographer I need look no more. What a dream to do a wedding here indeed. This is not n advert for the Hotel, but as a travelling photographer I would love to share my ideas that could help your day. I meet so many make up artists, singers and the rest that goes into planning your day. So for shooting many weddings over the years and with the experience I gained I plan within my blogs on my website what to look out for. Nicole was so funny that even on the morning of her day, she was still organizing all the Bridesmaids and took time to settle. Nerves I think only natural. Nicole wanted the whole day to run smooth. Timing is of the essence and if one things runs late the whole wedding runs late. I love the preparation images attached the architecture in the shot of the girls walking to the service, showed mood and movement. Natural shots are so important as it tells the story to day. This is what I do. Casual, classical moody and modern. The best thing you do not know when most of them are being taken. Natural light is the best I feel in photography if you have it, then play with your other lighting to bring the best out in the couple. I hope you like the variety I have placed for all to see. I know Barry and Nicole just loved their images as I loved being a part of their biggest day. I feel almost part of the family when leaving. Many thanks for taking time out to read this.
