This is the biggest night of of the year for the class of 2018. Stunning dresses and outfits indeed. The girls were so classical in their attire, all led by their partners and friends for such a  special evening.

I also remember being one of these fantastic ladies . (some years back I may say but my secret )

I hope you all had a great evening.

I have placed a sneak preview of a few couples I had photographed form the evening.

Put your name up now if you are not shown and your images will be posted tomorrow evening.
I hope you can share the attached with your family and friends .

Tour images will be sent to the college soon and a disc of all so you can get a copy of your class 2018 to keep . Do ask reception as regards this.

Many thanks for asking me to be part of your biggest evening again.
PS I never got my images taken by a photographer I was so disappointed not to have a memory so you do. Digital has come a long way.

If you have a formal next year ( from another college I would love you to give me a call to place your booking or even to keep me in mind for your date. Thanks Andrea.)

When you are asked to photograph a special day and the couple leave all the shots to me its gives me great pleasure to be a part of the most memorable day and the couple put all their trust in my skills. I have been photographing weddings over 20 years and I see a change in style and mood in photography. I always try to be a step ahead but quietly capturing the most important shots when no one realizes they are being taken.

A twist to the left a foot to the right and that fashion statement is captured and with little ease no pressure. This is what I feels come so natural to me as I have the confidence and experience of photographing many weddings I can create images from different situations and locations.

Nicola and Charlie were a pleasure to be with and I feel part of the family by the end of the day. This is why I have such a large feeling of social networking without the media it all happens in one day and it explodes into many friends and families from near and far.

My local cathedral St Eugene's was the event of marriage and my favorite park Brooke Park we decided to stop off for some images. I walked through this park as a young girl attending St Eugene's girls primary school so I new ever blade of grass there. Well not literally.!

Visiting relives who have passed on on your wedding day is so emotional. So  a small detour to the city cemetery, which passed our famous gas yard walls (as in the song ) to find artists murals painted on the walls.
When you have back drops like this , what more then to capture the town I love so well.

This is what we created on the day .

Give a response and feed back.

Thanks

Keith and Kelly. Redcastle , Donegal.

I know where to start with this wedding. It was so full of energy that I smile every time I think of their wedding. Maybe there’s something in the air in Derry, or maybe it’s just because Keith and Kelly’s energy and joy for life are so infectious that their day was such a blast. The weather Gods smiled on us and the pictures added pretty much sums up how I felt about  their wedding. It was such a pleasure to be part of their day. I’ve gone home after a wedding feeling like I’d gained two friends. In fact, more like 100 friends, as everyone at the wedding were so warm and welcoming. Special mention to the groom men who also were on a high. They couldn’t stop smiling and cracking jokes all day. On to the pictures from an uplifting day that I’ll remember for a long time

Ciara and Deen Wilson . Strabane Co Tyrone. 2016

Strabane is such a special town to me. I have visited so many brides homes and always feel part of the family by the end of the day. Ciara and Deen were such a bubbly couple, full of energy, excitement and fun. This indeed made my day so easy as they fell into any situation and location I offered.
We stopped at the famous Guildhall in Derry and darted through the water fountains. A great audience indeed , a few stops at the Derry walls also famous indeed in their own right. I have incorporated the walls and the Derry City in many of my images.. we walk past so many locations locally that we may as well be wearing blinkers.

As a photographer I tend to look outside the box. That is what makes me a little different and why so many couple choose me to do their wedding images.

We had a blast on Ciara and Deens day. I am sure their images portray the happy occasion. Do share with your family and friends and leave a little comment. Thanks. Andrea O Hare.

John and Sinead wedding 2015

Sinead and John had planned this special day so well. Their venue in Castle grove, their photographer, and most of portent all their family and friends. Sinead was so calm getting ready. Everything went to plan so well. Even though the weather was very blustery and wet, we had stopped in her favourite place in Fahan Donegal for photographs. Someone must have been looking over us as we captured their photography without getting wet. Castle grove were charming hosts. The table settings superb and the ambiance on a winters evening charming. Many thanks for asking me to be part of your big day. Andrea.

Insh Island Donegal is the setting for Martin and Aisling 2015

I have never seen so many men with shotguns all at once !!! Somehow this is a great tradition and such a really warm send off to the happy couple in Insh Island Donegal. Aisling and Martin had a really clear and warm day and the grey sky suited my images perfectly !! A trip to a small beech on the Island was a must. However the captin of the boat was not too happy to let the couple have a few images taken on his boat but he then shipped off to sea fishing !!! Walking on the Island seems to be the normal for all who live on Insh Island so comfortable shoes were a must on the day. The Inishowen Gateway held their reception and a large number indeed attened the couples big day. This is the second daughter of the Mc Daid house for me to photograph on their wedding day. Great to back with the all the families again and being made so at home too.

Creating the perfect location. Light and mode for your wedding images. Laura and Darraghs wedding. Clonmany Co Donegal. The BallyLiffin Lodge Hotel.

Wedding photography is a craft. Planning the right location , whether it is in the home of the bride as you can see here with Laura and also in  locations locally to the Church or Hotel. Every couple is different and may prefer classical, reportage, funky moody or in fact all as a mix. Laura's home had the perfect lighting for natural light and hidden parts of her home added value to my images. The church with the old floor tiles. The red door for colour, and impact. But the most important part are my couples who have fun and are  so relaxed and  really appreciate the quality and styles I  can produce in my weddings. I still use my light metre for the perfect lighting and not the digital camera.!!!!! I believe most professional photographers agree.
Do share this wonderful couples small collection of images I have prepared. I mostly look forward to handing all the images over to the couples and then to hear their final remarks on the work I produced. It is all a joint effort. A most important day.
